If your carpet is damaged and you want to spare yourself cost of replacement, carpet patching is your answer. Or, if you simply need to fill a void that is missing carpet. Please call or text today with any questions!
Carpet patching is a multifaceted carpet fix. Patching is required when any part of a carpet needs to be replaced, filled-in or added-on. So no matter what type of damage is done to carpet, or however large the affected area is, carpet patching will remedy the situation.

Along with professional skills and the right tools, a carpet remnant is required for patchwork. Hopefully, you have some leftovers from when your carpet was installed. If you don’t, we can take carpet from somewhere you can leave a bare spot. If you can’t leave a bare spot anywhere, we can use whatever you purchase from store. Sometimes you can get lucky, and find a large sample piece of carpet at a Hope Depot or Lowe’s sort-of-place that will work for free!

Most of our customers will find something on clearance, that they can buy a small amount of. Then they donate a whole closet, or small area like a closet, so overall results look really nice.Whether you get lucky, or need to purchase a little bit of carpet to avoid a bare spot, a good thing to mention is many of our customers have success finding carpet good enough for swapping. We install purchased remnant into better location for non-exact match carpet, like a closet, and then have plenty of matching remnant for patchwork needed. Here’s another example of some patchwork we’ve done.

Missing Carpet – Before and After Carpet Patching

Missing Carpet – Before and After Carpet Patching

We aren’t sure why this customer’s carpet was missing, but that doesn’t matter. What matters, is that we were able to straighten out the torn edges, and fill in area with a really good looking patch. Per usual, patch is slightly visible due to color shade difference.

Typically, patches are visible due to color difference between remnant and existing carpet. We ensure that any patchwork we do never has gaps at seams, frizzles or anything like that, but there isn’t much we can do about color differences. A cleaning will help with slight color differences sometimes, but normal solution for any color difference is to just give the area time to blend, as new patch gets lived on.

Paint Stains – Before and After Carpet Patching

Here is an example of when carpet patching hits a homerun! The carpet matches great, and the style of carpet hides any slight color difference there might be. Although all patches don’t turn out as good as this, it’s nice to show the potential for how your patch might turn out.

If you are concerned a patch is going to look bad in your particular situation, please send us some pictures, as we would love to give you our professional opinion. Worst case scenario, we drive out to do an in-person assessment and provide you with some good information about your carpet options. If we come out and can’t help you properly, or you don’t like our price, we leave at no charge to you.

Berber – Before and After Carpet Patching

Berber – Before and After Carpet Patching

We include this example to show how sometimes a patch is visible no matter what, and still looks good if done well. Here we have a color difference between remnant and existing carpet, and because of the rows featured in Berber-styled carpet, it is impossible to hide the cross seams we made cutting out damaged area. If customer had much larger remnant, we could have avoided cross seams by patching from damaged area all the way to the wall. They didn’t though. Overall, they feel we gave their room back to them, at a fraction of what it would have cost to replace entirely. Again, please contact us with any questions!
