A Little Bit About Fixing Carpet
Usually, a carpet fix requires patching or stretching. And many times, both. Carpet patching needs to be done professionally in order to look good. Carpet stretching needs to be done professionally in order to last. A few of our customers have had success taking these projects on themselves, but most call us after their attempt.
Carpet patching requires the use of a carpet remnant. It’s ok if you do not have one though. We can take carpet we need for patchwork from a place you won’t miss it, like the back of a closet. Most of our customers do not mind leaving a bare spot where we take carpet from, in order to get their priority areas of home or office back in shape.
For the most part, carpet stretching requires the use of a power stretcher. There are times when it is impossible to use a power stretcher, like when an area is too small, and those are the only acceptable times to not use one. If someone tells you different, you should talk to someone else. When carpet is stretched back into place properly, it should stay nice and tight for the remaining life of the carpet.
When it comes to taking care of any carpet situation on your hands, we should be able to clearly explain what needs to be done, and then complete work quickly from time of your request for us to come out. Again, please check out the rest of our site for further information, or contact us anytime as we look forward to helping you any way we can!
